What Is CURREAC
CURREAC is a center for the training and refreshment of business owners and their employees. It is open to foreign visitors as well.
Opened in November,1993, CURREAC has a concept of "Training & Refreshment."It was founded by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Japan and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to meet a strong need; corporations' employee training and welfare programs for employees and their families.
CURREAC is located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Hamamatsu has a population of approximately 570,000 and is roughly in the center of Japan. It lies halfway between Tokyo and Osaka, about an hour and half by Shinkansen from both cities. With its mild climate, hardly any snow in winter and the longest daylight hours in Japan, Hamamatsu enjoys bountiful nature.
Hamamatsu has a long history beginning in the Jomon period (8000 〜 200 B.C.).Since Ieyasu Tokugawa, the Founder of the Tokugawa Shogumate(1603-1867), built Hamamatsu Castle in the period of rival warlords aimed to rule over the whole country, it has developed as a successful castle town.
Hamamatsu is also the town where Japan's first TV set was rolled out. AfterWorld War II, it has developed as one of the most leading industrial cities in Japan, manufacturing mainly motorcycles, textiles and musical instruments. In addition to these industries, it now has the Hamamatsu Brain Park, where CURREAC islocated, known for its research and development of high-technology like multi-media.Accordingly, it is a perfect place to observe outstanding industries.
Hamamatsu has many tourist spots, too. Lake Hamana-ko rich in fish and shellfish has been admired for its beauty in poems since ancient times. CURREAC hasa number of sightseeing spots nearby such as Kanzan-ji and Bentenjima Hot Springs and also Nakatajima Sand Dunes, approximately 4 km long east and west.
CURREAC provides various services for visitors; arranging observation trips,making reservations for golf, tennis, the flower park, fishing, shellfish gathering,strawberry picking, mandarin picking, swimming, etc. We provide pickup service for groups.
